There are now only 5 studio spaces available within the 6900 square foot "Creative Compound" we are working to develop. The spaces will range in sizes from 10 by 10 to 15 by 20 or if some of the heavy hitters sign on they may have up to 1500 sq ft to release their creativity and or entertain clients/ potential buyers. The larger spaces may become communal areas where more than one artist can work, making them more affordable. We are considering Vintage Airstream trailers to be brought in and perhaps one retired school bus. All this and more while trying to preserve the intrinsic beauty and inspiration this place radiates.
The space itself is amazing. A hidden warehouse on the commercial corridor of Cannon St. that should evolve into a more contemporary art-walk district for the peninsula.
20 foot ceilings, exposed brick walls with steel and wood beam rafters, parking for bikes/ cars, storage space, material/ framing shop, a garden, and more in mind.
One of the most unique and promising facilities we have found in Charleston, which happens to be only two blocks from CofC, King St, etc.
We are pre-filling the spots for a tentative move in date of Feb. 1st.
Again we are open to many perspectives, but we are looking for community-oriented people who want not only to make the space a success, but also want the art community to collaborate and thrive

We had over 60 vendors at our Christmas show (Nov. 28th) with a waiting list of people, so be sure to send in your application early. The first 50 applications received will set up on the front lawn, the remaining applicants will set up on the side & back lawn.
