<description><![CDATA[The influx of illegal aliens has serious hidden medical<br>
consequences. We judge reality primarily by what we see. But what<br>
we do not see can be more dangerous, more expensive, and more<br>
deadly than what is seen.<br>
Illegal aliens. stealthy assaults on medicine now must rouse<br>
Americans to alert and alarm. Even XPresident Bush describes<br>
illegal aliens only as they are seen: strong physical laborers who<br>
work hard in undesirable jobs with low wages, who care for their<br>
families, and who pursue the American dream.<br>
What is unseen is their free medical care that has degraded and<br>
closed some of America’s finest emergency medical facilities, and<br>
caused hospital bankruptcies: 84 California hospitals are closing<br>
their doors. .Anchor babies. born to illegal aliens instantly qualify<br>
as citizens for welfare benefits and have caused enormous rises in<br>
Medicaid costs and stipends under Supplemental Security Income<br>
and Disability Income.<br>
What is seen is the illegal alien who with strong back may<br>
cough, sweat, and bleed, but is assumed healthy even though he and<br>
his illegal alien wife and children were never examined for<br>
contagious diseases.<br>
By default, we grant health passes to illegal aliens. Yet many<br>
illegal aliens harbor fatal diseases that American medicine fought<br>
and vanquished long ago, such as drug-resistant tuberculosis,<br>
malaria, leprosy, plague, polio, dengue, and Chagas disease.<br>
What is seen is the political statistic that 43 million lives are at<br>
risk in America because of lack of medical insurance. What is<br>
unseen is that medical insurance does not equal medical care.<br>
Uninsured people receive medical care in hospital emergency<br>
departments (EDs) under the coercive Emergency Medical<br>
Treatment and Active Labor Act of 1985 (EMTALA), which<br>
obligates hospitals to treat the uninsured but does not pay for that<br>
care. Also unseen is the percentage of the uninsured who are illegal<br>
aliens. No one knows how many illegal aliens reside in America. If<br>
there are 10 million, they constitute nearly 25 percent of the<br>
uninsured. The percentage could be even higher.<br>

A person with an addiction does not belong behind bars, they need help. Putting them in a cage with violent offenders, rapist, and murderers does not seem very American to me. <description><![CDATA[It seems very obvious that the two party system we have in America does nothing more than divide the population by enticing us to argue over the details of how exactly one side or the other is going to screw us over.  <br>

Also, one of the first things a government will do that wants to subjugate its citizens is disarm them.  See Nazi Germany.  Part of the U.S.'s war efforts was to drop guns behind enemy lines in Germany in an attempt to re-arm the citizens.  Look it up.  See Switzerland, a model of responsible and intelligent government with regard to individual gun ownership.  See Great Britain.  See the bs those people have to put up with.  High violent crime rate, police/surveillance state, nanny state bs.  You couldn't pay me to live there.  So, there is nothing wrong or paranoid or silly about giving a damn about individual gun ownership.    <br>

Also, we don't live in a democracy.  We used to live in a Constitutional Republic when the federal government gave a damn about the minor technicality of strict adherence to the Constitution.  We now live in a Plutocracy.  Lube up and get used to getting screwed. The political policies of our world are not for the sovereignty of humanity or nations.
It is for the purpose of transforming the world into a global government, controlled by the elite under the guise of protecting humanity and the earth.<p>

The policies that have been enacted in the UN and other world bodies are to slowly  convert our way of life into a modern age serfdom.  <p>

These same politicians want you to believe that everything happens by chance and that they are implementing changes to laws to circumvent the random events as they come about.<p>

It is in your best interest to distrust those in power and to believe the exact opposite to find the truth.<p>

Actions do speak louder than words and when you read the facts and then watch the actions of these elected criminals, you will find a whole different world which goes against the rhetoric they continue to convey.<p>



The choice is very simple, do Americans continue on a path of enslavement or do we rise up and take back our natural freedoms and put a stop to the contrived manipulation?<p>

Appearing on The Alex Jones Show yesterday, Lord Christopher Monckton went further than ever before in his vehement opposition to the elitists running the climate change scam, calling for the UN to be shut down and for fraudulent peddlers of global warming propaganda like Al Gore to be arrested and criminally prosecuted.<br>

Monckton said that those who are threatening to shut down economies, bankrupt nations, and deepen the problems of the third world by implementing draconian policies in the name of global warming should be indicted, prosecuted and imprisoned “for a very long time”.<br>

“The fraudsters and racketeers from Al Gore to the people at the University of East Anglia who have been making their fortune at the expense of taxpayers and the little guy,” should be criminally charged, said Monckton, in response to the climategate scandal.<br>

“We the people have got to rise up worldwide, found a party in every country which stands for freedom and make sure we fight this bureaucratic communistic world government monster to a standstill – they shall not pass,” he added.<br>
Monckton said that the United Nations should be “closed down,” adding that he talked to a senior UN ambassador in Canada who told him that he no longer saw any purpose in the UN and it exists “only to enrich itself at the expense of the nations it claims to serve, it’s time it was brought to an end.”<br>

“We would all save billions if we shut down the UN and just about all of its hideous bureaucracy,” said Monckton.<br>

Lord Monckton emphasized how the emails released as a result of climategate prove that global warming alarmism was still prevalent in public but behind closed doors, warmist scientist are admitting that the “deniers” as they label people like Monckton are correct.<br>

“Publicly they’re saying the science is settled, we’re all doomed unless you close down the economies of the west, whereas privately they’re saying to each other ‘we’ve got it wrong, none of this adds up and it’s a travesty that we can’t explain it’.”<br>

Monckton also slammed Obama’s science czar John P. Holdren, who in his 1977 book Ecoscience called for draconian population measures to be enforced by a “planetary regime” in the name of saving the earth, as an “openly admitted communist”.<br>

Monckton pointed out how Holdren had been once of the most prominent alarmists in the 70’s warning about the onset of rapid “global cooling”.<br>
“Now with seamless mendacity he says that what we’re now facing is global warming,” said Monckton.<br>

“How can anyone like Holdren stand up with a straight face and expect anyone to believe it,” he added.<br>

Monckton said that the agenda behind the global warming movement was to set up a communistic world government which will be run by people who “do not care how many people they kill with their policies” and that their goal is to “do away with democracy forever by stealth using the excuse to save the planet.”<br>
Monckton said that the people running the scam had a “deliberate desire to control population by killing people in large numbers deliberately if necessary.”<br>
The former advisor to Margaret Thatcher said that the warmists were sounding more and more desperate and knew that they had been rumbled as a result of climategate, which would only make it more urgent for them to try and force through a binding treaty in Copenhagen.<br>

Monckton said that the answer to combating the move towards neo-feudalism and global government was to form a worldwide “freedom party” that would operate nationally in every country in order to defend freedom, democracy and prosperity while routing out every aspect of the communistic takeover.<br>
“Every time these people try to take it away, we in the freedom party will stop them, and I think now is the time,” said Monckton.<br>

To ensure the public that the media and Al Gore are aware of the facts that prove global warming to be a hoax, patriots from WAC Chicago marched to the book signing. Scattered throughout a crowd of a few hundred were members of WAC Chicago ready to ask Al Gore what he thought about ‘ClimateGate.’<br>
<br>
First up was Saad Ali. As he approached Gore, he peacefully and respectably asked, “Sir, can you comment on the emails and documents that were hacked [ClimateGate] that reveal… that the research was a fraud and that it was all manipulated?” Gore, with an evil smirk, claimed that “he never read them.” By the look on his face and his stutter, it became quite clear that Gore was extremely uncomfortable with the question, so he quickly glared towards his security. The agents grabbed and assaulted Saad, escorting him away from Gore for merely asking a simple question. The press took notice and started filming and snapping pictures of what was going on. One of which appeared the next day in the Chicago Sun Times.<br>
<br>
Following Saad’s confrontation, Sati Word, a member of WAC Chicago, questioned Gore on why the IPCC hasn’t released any reports on sunspot activity. However, before he could get an answer from Gore, security grabbed Sati and escorted him out of the building.<br>
<br>
A little while later, Anthony, an activist from We Are Change Ohio, approached Gore and handed him the petition of the 31,486 scientists who say that Global Warming is a complete hoax. Anthony asked, “What do you think about the science behind this sir?” Mr. Gore rolled his eyes, and security escorted him out of the building.<br>
<br>
Steve (swizzlesteve), was the last activist to question Gore. Within seconds of asking, “Any comments on ClimateGate? The emails that prove it’s a scam, a farce, that global warming is a joke, any comment?” Mr. Gore is heard to utter a few “uhhhhhhhs” and security quickly steps in to remove him as well.<br>
<br>
The press was waiting outside Borders. They wanted to find out who this group was, that dared question what the elite had forced us to consume as truth. WBBM news radio, 780, ran a sound bite of WAC Chicago, WGN news ran footage, Medill Reports wrote an article, and blog posts were popping up all over the internet about the Al Gore confrontation in Chicago. Many also asked about the footage of WAC Chicago chasing after Gore’s SUV after the event. You will find all of it in this video. Al Gore was confronted multiple times in line, outside the event as he rushed to his waiting Mercedes SUV, (were you expecting something electric?), and once again in the streets of Chicago. We Are Change had people outside with signs, banners, fliers, and DVDs.  Activists were inside asking questions and demanding answers; the world is waking up, it’s a great time to be alive.<br>

Well, I have done it!  I have read the entire text of proposed House Bill 3200: The Affordable Health Care Choices Act of 2009. I studied it with particular emphasis from my area of expertise, constitutional law.  I was frankly concerned that parts of the proposed law that were being discussed might be unconstitutional. What I found was far worse than what I had heard or expected. <br>
<br>
To begin with, much of what has been said about the law and its implications is in fact true, despite what the Democrats and the media are saying.  The law does provide for rationing of health care, particularly where senior citizens and other classes of citizens are involved, free health care for illegal immigrants, free abortion services, and probably forced participation in abortions by members of the medical profession. <br>
<br>
The Bill will also eventually force private insurance companies out of business, and put everyone into a government run system.  All decisions about personal health care will ultimately be made by federal bureaucrats, and most of them will not be health care professionals.  Hospital admissions, payments to physicians, and allocations of necessary medical devices will be strictly controlled by the government. <br>
<br>
However, as scary as all of that is, it just scratches the surface.  In fact, I have concluded that this legislation really has no intention of providing affordable health care choices.  Instead it is a convenient cover for the most massive transfer of power to the Executive Branch of government that has ever occurred, or even been contemplated  If this law or a similar one is adopted, major portions of the Constitution of the United States will effectively have been destroyed. <br>
<br>
The first thing to go will be the masterfully crafted balance of power between the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of the U.S. Government.  The Congress will be transferring to the Obama Administration authority in a number of different areas over the lives of the American people, and the businesses they own. <br>
<br>
The irony is that the Congress doesn't have any authority to legislate in most of those areas to begin with!  I defy anyone to read the text of the U.S. Constitution and find any authority granted to the members of Congress to regulate health care. <br>
<br>
This legislation also provides for access, by the appointees of the Obama administration, of all of your personal healthcare direct violation of the specific provisions of the 4th Amendment to the Constitution information, your personal financial information, and the information of your employer, physician, and hospital.  All of this is a protecting against unreasonable searches and seizures.  You can also forget about the right to privacy.  That will have been legislated into oblivion regardless of what the 3rd and 4th Amendments may provide. <br>
<br>
If you decide not to have healthcare insurance, or if you have private insurance that is not deemed acceptable to the Health Choices Administrator appointed by Obama, there will be a tax imposed on you.  It is called a tax instead of a fine because of the intent to avoid application of the due process clause of the 5th Amendment. However, that doesn't work because since there is nothing in the law that allows you to contest or appeal the imposition of the tax, it is definitely depriving someone of property without the due process of law. <br>
<br>
So, there are three of those pesky amendments that the far left hate so much, out the original ten in the Bill of Rights, that are effectively nullified by this law  It doesn't stop there though. <br>
<br>
The 9th Amendment that provides: The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people; <br>
<br>
The 10th Amendment states: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are preserved to the States respectively, or to the people.  Under the provisions of this piece of Congressional handiwork neither the people nor the states are going to have any rights or powers at all in many areas that once were theirs to control. <br>
<br>
I could write many more pages about this legislation, but I think you get the idea.  This is not about health care; it is about seizing power and limiting rights.  Article 6 of the Constitution requires the members of both houses of Congress to "be bound by oath or affirmation to support the Constitution." If I was a member of Congress I would not be able to vote for this legislation or anything like it, without feeling I was violating that sacred oath or affirmation.  If I voted for it anyway, I would hope the American people would hold me accountable. <br>
<br>
For those who might doubt the nature of this threat, I suggest they consult the source, the US Constitution, and Bill of Rights. There you can see exactly what we are about to have taken from us. <br>

Just for the record, I think Clinton was a better president than Bush strictly because he actually had the courage to stand up to Congress and veto budgets if needed.  I disagreed with his reasons but at least he had the sack.<br>

As for the surplus under Clinton and lack there of under Bush...  Have you ever considered why there was a surplus under Clinton and why it went away under Bush.  Have you ever looked at the various speculative bubbles that have come and gone and thought that maybe just maybe Clinton was simply lucky enough to be leaving office when the effects of the bubble busting showed up?  Is it possible that the verifiable fact that the US economy was already entering a recession prior to Bush entering office had something to do with Bush's problems?  I'm no Bush fan. I didn't vote for him ever but I do feel like all you partisans should actually look at facts and do some critical thinking instead of just reading headlines. Bush screwed up plenty on his own but lets not give Clinton credit for something he was basically just lucky on. <br>

And your point about FDR is wrong.  I agree the nation changed drastically under FDR.  Maybe in some ways for the better.  It also changed in a lot of ways for the worse.  FDR led the charge towards central planning in the US.  He pushed through Social Security when he knew it wasn't inline with the constitution. I am no economist but I do read a lot.  I'd suggest you read some books by other than Keynesian economists about FDR's policies and the depression. And then to be honest, do you really think the republican party of today is the same as it was in the 30's?  IF so do you think the Democrat party is the same?  So using your logic, the republicans screw up the economy but the republicans are on the side of the black man.  Yeah that makes a lot of sense.<br>

<description><![CDATA[What are reasons for deception in the climate change debate? They are simple as the reasons for deception among those who work to refute the claims.<br>
<br>
 Money. There is a ton of money involved. research projects, grants. Money spent on green energy projects. Just because a person is a scientist doesn't mean they no longer have the urge to protect their own self-interest. <br>
Power: The party pushing for climate legislation is very interested in increasing the scope of government power. This is a great excuse to do so. The other side of the argument is too interested in the money from big oil to worry about the power yet.<br>
 Me personally, I've been all over the world. There is a whole lot more green space that you would believe. The world is a big place. I would think the emissions would do more harm to air quality than global warming. I think that is more a function of solar activity. I have a pretty decent background in physics. I'm not about to go invent warp travel or anything but I’m not an idiot and I don't believe we have made enough stuff to change the temp that much. Additionally I don't think we have the ability to control the climate. I think research money would be better spent coming up with solutions to the problems the eventual climate change (man made or otherwise) will bring onto us. Truth be told, climate change is a distant problem. I worry more about a complete financial and governmental collapse in the nearer term.]]></description>

United States Supreme Court, 1844: Vidal v. Girard's Executors (43 U.S. 126, 132) - Justice Joseph Story delivered the Court's opinion. The case was about Stephen Girard (a deist from France) who had moved to Philadelphia, PA and later died there. In his will, he left his entire estate, which was valued at over $7 million, to establish an orphanage and a school. The catch was that "no religious influence be allowed". The city rejected this proposal with their lawyers declaring the following: "The plan of education proposed is anti-Christian and therefore repugnant to the law...The purest principles of morality are to be taught. Where are they found? Whoever searches for them must go to the source from which a Christian man derives his faith - the Bible...There is an obligation to teach what the Bible alone can teach, viz. a pure system of morality... <br>
Both in the Old and New Testaments (religions instruction's) importance is recognized. In the Old it is said, "Thou shalt diligently teach them to thy children," and the New, "Suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid them not..." No fault can be found with Girard for wishing a marble college to bear his name for ever, but it is not valuable unless it has a fragrance of Christianity about it." <br>

The United States Supreme Court rendered its UNANIMOUS opinion in the above case as follows: "Christianity...is not to be maliciously and openly reviled and blasphemed against, to the annoyance of believers or the injury of the public...It is unnecessary for us, however, to consider the establishment of a school or college, for the propagation of...Deism, or any other form of infidelity. <br>
Such a case is not to be presumed to exist in a Christian country....Why may not laymen instruct in the general principles of Christianity as well as ecclesiastics... <br>
And we cannot overlook the blessings, which such [lay] men by their conduct, as well as their instructions, may, nay must impart to their youthful pupils. Why may not the Bible, and especially the New Testament, without note or comment, be read and taught as a divine revelation in the [school] - its general precepts expounded, its evidences explained and its glorious principles of morality inculcated?... <br>
Where can the purest principles of morality be learned so clearly or so perfectly as from the New Testament? <br>
It is also said, and truly, that the Christian religion is a part of the common law of Pennsylvania.¯ <br>

Conservatives More Liberal Givers<br>

WASHINGTON -- Residents of Austin, Texas, home of the state's government and flagship university, have very refined social consciences, if they do say so themselves, and they do say so, speaking via bumper stickers. Don R. Willett, a justice of the state Supreme Court, has commuted behind bumpers proclaiming "Better a Bleeding Heart Than None at All," "Practice Random Acts of Kindness and Senseless Beauty," "The Moral High Ground Is Built on Compassion," "Arms Are For Hugging," "Will Work (When the Jobs Come Back From India)," "Jesus Is a Liberal," "God Wants Spiritual Fruits, Not Religious Nuts," "The Road to Hell Is Paved With Republicans," "Republicans Are People Too -- Mean, Selfish, Greedy People" and so on. But Willett thinks Austin subverts a stereotype: "The belief that liberals care more about the poor may scratch a partisan or ideological itch, but the facts are hostile witnesses."<br>
<br>
Sixteen months ago, Arthur C. Brooks, a professor at Syracuse University, published "Who Really Cares: The Surprising Truth About Compassionate Conservatism." The surprise is that liberals are markedly less charitable than conservatives.<br>
<br>
If many conservatives are liberals who have been mugged by reality, Brooks, a registered independent, is, as a reviewer of his book said, a social scientist who has been mugged by data. They include these findings:<br>
<br>
-- Although liberal families' incomes average 6 percent higher than those of conservative families, conservative-headed households give, on average, 30 percent more to charity than the average liberal-headed household ($1,600 per year vs. $1,227).<br>
<br>
-- Conservatives also donate more time and give more blood.<br>
<br>
-- Residents of the states that voted for John Kerry in 2004 gave smaller percentages of their incomes to charity than did residents of states that voted for George Bush.<br>
<br>
-- Bush carried 24 of the 25 states where charitable giving was above average.<br>
<br>
-- In the 10 reddest states, in which Bush got more than 60 percent majorities, the average percentage of personal income donated to charity was 3.5. Residents of the bluest states, which gave Bush less than 40 percent, donated just 1.9 percent.<br>
<br>
-- People who reject the idea that "government has a responsibility to reduce income inequality" give an average of four times more than people who accept that proposition.<br>
<br>
Brooks demonstrates a correlation between charitable behavior and "the values that lie beneath" liberal and conservative labels. Two influences on charitable behavior are religion and attitudes about the proper role of government.<br>
<br>
The single biggest predictor of someone's altruism, Willett says, is religion. It increasingly correlates with conservative political affiliations because, as Brooks' book says, "the percentage of self-described Democrats who say they have 'no religion' has more than quadrupled since the early 1970s." America is largely divided between religious givers and secular nongivers, and the former are disproportionately conservative. One demonstration that religion is a strong determinant of charitable behavior is that the least charitable cohort is a relatively small one -- secular conservatives.<br>
<br>
Reviewing Brooks' book in the Texas Review of Law & Politics, Justice Willett notes that Austin -- it voted 56 percent for Kerry while he was getting just 38 percent statewide -- is ranked by The Chronicle of Philanthropy as 48th out of America's 50 largest cities in per capita charitable giving. Brooks' data about disparities between liberals' and conservatives' charitable giving fit these facts: Democrats represent a majority of the wealthiest congressional districts, and half of America's richest households live in states where both senators are Democrats.<br>
<br>
While conservatives tend to regard giving as a personal rather than governmental responsibility, some liberals consider private charity a retrograde phenomenon -- a poor palliative for an inadequate welfare state, and a distraction from achieving adequacy by force, by increasing taxes. Ralph Nader, running for president in 2000, said: "A society that has more justice is a society that needs less charity." Brooks, however, warns: "If support for a policy that does not exist ... substitutes for private charity, the needy are left worse off than before. It is one of the bitterest ironies of liberal politics today that political opinions are apparently taking the place of help for others."<br>
<br>
In 2000, brows were furrowed in perplexity because Vice President Al Gore's charitable contributions, as a percentage of his income, were below the national average: He gave 0.2 percent of his family income, one-seventh of the average for donating households. But Gore "gave at the office." What really gets me these days, is that the moment someone is critical of the current administration they're labeled republican.  Let anyone think Clinton was an amoral ass that used his office to get his jollies (and corrupt buddies) off, and someone starts yelling at the top of their lungs REPUBLICAN!<br>

I'm NOT REPUBLICAN.  I'm NOT DEMOCRAT.  I am AMERICAN.  I'm disgusted by the whole lot of them.  I'm sick of all POLITICIANS and I wish they'd have been a little more responsible with my money, my children's money, my granchildren's money, my great-grandchildren's money, etc.  I'm sick of the missappropriations, the theft that goes on every week that I cash my check, the lobbyist, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd...oh, the list goes on and on and on and on.<br>
