Great Redustions for week 2!
Friday, March 29 12-6 PM
Saturday, March 30 10 AM-3PM
This week we are going to be in a tightly packed home on James Island. The homeowner was a true collector of all things antique and vintage. For the most part, the furniture consists of wonderful carved Victorian pieces but there are some modern ones as well. Of particular interest are several beds in all sizes from queen/full to single, a Chippendale china cabinet, several dressers and nightstands, 2 dining sets and many small display cabinets. There are also several radio/Victrola cabinets, most of them repurposed for useful cabinetry.
Don't miss the giant dollhouse with the most beautifully crafted details. One like this is rarely available.
Our client was a great collector and her interests were varied. The walls are covered with vintage kitchenware including lots of graniteware, tin ware and painted wood handled kitchen tools. There are display cases full of bottles and antique bowls. You won’t believe the vintage box collection and let’s not get started on the marvelous children’s’ items…or let’s do-there are pressed steel toys, a vintage desk and chalkboard, a small enamel table and oh, so much more! The showpiece of the child’s collection is a huge dollhouse, well-furnished and just right to delight the younger members of your family.
The glass collection includes many pieces of Depression glass, one of which is a large set. There are some lovely crystal pieces and several pieces of pattern glass. There are many modern pieces as well.
The lady of the house was just that, a true lady. Her hat collection is extensive, covering several walls. There’s a purse collection that rivals that of the hats, and of course there are the gloves to go with them. There are 3 vintage wedding dresses and some modern clothing as well. For shoes, there is a large selection of One Sole items on many sizes and the accessories that go with them.
There is a huge collection of jewelry. There are nice sterling pieces and many, many handcrafted items. There are also the supplies to do your own beading. As well, there is a sewing machine and all the necessary supplies.
There is a set of Royal Doulton china and several other sets of porcelain and stoneware. The pots and pans are both modern and vintage as are the household kitchen supplies.
Gardening was a major interest and the backyard pool area is astounding. There are lovely pots and plants as well as more rustic items.
We also have some unusual items including several wet suits and scuba gear and a large hydroponic system. There is also a nice collection of 1970s-80s vinyl record albums.
No house is complete without a garage and this one is packed. Of particular interest is a generator but there are the usual items as well.
We have been authorized to sell several appliances including a side by side refrigerator and a freezer.

Because the house is only a moderate size and there are so many items, we may have to limit the number of guests we can accommodate at one time. Please pack your patience and be understanding-this is for your safety. Also, please be aware that there is a swimming pool and monitor your children accordingly. We cannot be responsible for accidents.
This is a large sale and we will not be on the premises in advance, so we cannot answer any pricing questions. You really need to be there to see how wonderful it all is.
We accept cash and local checks only.
You all come!
