We are seeking for a Burial Service Technician to join our company.
The Burial Service Technician position involves the delivery, setup, installation, and servicing of burial vaults and graveside equipment at cemetery locations. The employee works primarily outdoors and performs physical labor associated with funeral service support.
Responsibilities
Deliver burial vaults to cemetery locations using company vehicles.
Perform graveside setup, including tents, chairs, lowering devices, and other equipment.
Operate motorized equipment (trailers) and hand tools.
Load and unload burial vaults and related equipment.
Drive company trucks and trailers to and from job sites.
Communicate with dispatch, funeral homes, and cemetery personnel regarding service details.
Perform general labor tasks related to setup, breakdown, and site cleanup.
Work independently and with a team to complete scheduled services.
Set and install burial vaults at gravesites.
Qualifications
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (3-5 years).
Ability to pass a background check.
Ability to operate vehicles and basic equipment safely.
Ability to perform physical labor as described.
Regular lifting and carrying of up to 40 lbs; occasional with team assistance or equipment.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing in and out of equipment.
Use of hands and arms for lifting, positioning, and operating tools/equipment.
Pay rate: $18 to $20 an hour, based on experience.
Schedule: Work performed 7 days per week as scheduled, including weekends. Could be full-time or part-time. Hours vary based on service demand. Operating normally from 6 am to 5/6 pm.
