Volkwagen Bosche alternator AL0723X. Works on at least 1996-1999 with the Diesel TDI engine. Can work on the 2000-2003 TDI engines if you use the smaller alternator pulley from a 1996-1999. I just got this alternator and it has never been used. It was only ever removed from the box to take these photos.
This alternator costs over $300 plus shipping on RockAuto.
